Teacher Training Workshop: Grey Towers 101
In partnership with the Lacawac Sanctuary and US Forest Service, the Pinchot Institute for Conservation invites you to participate in a free workshop for K-12 teachers of all subject areas. This workshop will:
  • Introduce teachers across grade levels and disciplines to the educational opportunities at Grey Towers National Historic Site.
  • Increase teacher and student understanding of the importance of Grey Towers and the Pinchot family to social justice, civil rights and the American conservation movement.  Connect the Pinchot legacy to relevant current social and environmental issues.
  • Introduce the site's Forestry Trail ecosystem and activities that address various academic standards.
  • Highlight a variety of student community service opportunities at Grey Towers NHS.
