Community-Based Forest Policy

Federal policies, court decisions, and Congressional appropriations for resource management and forest protection have a profound effect on rural communities' ability to pursue sustainable development.

The Institute conducts outreach and training activities to help communities and forest practitioners understand how to engage in decision making and shaping public policy at multiple levels.
